Wednesday and Thursday

An hilarious time was had by all at the dancing class, and a difficult job to teach us by our instructor Asia.A good warm up to start then on to the serious stuff.Cracovian dance was the first and mastered quite well. Then a medievil English dance , very sedate and dignified. American Polka was fast and furiuos nearly ending in a heap and finally our favourite Polonez ,with sound track from the Polish film Pan Tadeusz.Returning on Thursday morning with aching limbs the team enthusiastically started the next dance lesson. First today we revised, and were surprised to remember very well the dances from the day before. Many of our collegues taught us dances from their countries.Sometimes with us singing the music!
By this time the legs needed a rest and we needed to exercise our brains with creative thinking.Anita master of the Funky Monkey.A few tricky tasks this time including being blindfolded and ordering ourselves in correct numerical order. From just chosen materials we had to build a tower that held a cup of water and the next day a bridge that would hold a heavy amount of weight. Interestly we should have listened more carefully than we did as there were certain instructions that need not have been carried out. To conclude all of our skills used on the previous workshops were able to create a play that showed a very unusual dressed man, a dream, an animal, a dance , a song . What a wide range of ideas came forth. Balloon man who found he could fly and a beautiful Turkish song.
